Philosophy & Goals

Dear Friends of Saint Thomas Aquinas,
Greetings in Christ,

At Saint Thomas Aquinas High School, we are proud to serve as a regional, co-educational Catholic community located in the Diocese of Baton Rouge. Rooted in the Dominican tradition of Veritas—Truth—we embrace and celebrate the diversity of our student body, welcoming young people from a wide range of socioeconomic backgrounds, academic abilities, and faith traditions.

Guided by the spirit of our patron saint, we carry on the educational mission of the Catholic Church with devotion and purpose. Our mission is to:

1. Pursue truth through study
2. Achieve academic excellence
3. Provide a nurturing, faith-filled environment
4. Support our students in living lives rooted in Gospel values

In addition to academic rigor, we are equally committed to forming the whole person. Students are given opportunities to develop life skills such as Christian leadership, critical thinking, clear communication, sound decision-making, and peaceful conflict resolution.

Education at Saint Thomas Aquinas is not a solitary endeavor. It is a partnership—one that involves the dedicated collaboration of professional educators, engaged parents, and a supportive faith-filled community. Together, we create an environment in which students are truly seen, supported, and challenged to become the people God created them to be.

Looking to the future, we envision our graduates as faithful, thoughtful, and capable individuals—equipped not only to meet the demands of a complex world but to shape it with integrity, wisdom, and compassion.

Thank you for your continued support and prayers for our mission. May God bless you and all who walk with us in this vital work.

In Truth and Service,

Will Johnson
